Jerez de la Frontera
and the surounding area has always been the centre for sherry and brandy
production.
The name Sherry
actually comes firstly, from the old Moorish way of saying the name
Jerez as Xeres, and later the mis-pronunciation of the name again by
the British.
If you visit Jerez,
you may wish to visit one of the world famous bodegas
Many of these do
organized tours and some for as little as four or five euros per person.
