Along the Jerez to Arcos road at the 2 km. exit, (the junction with the A4 motorway) you will find the "El Juncal" Equestrian Centre.

Here they give 'Beginners Classes', 'Therapeutic Riding Sessions', 'Tourist Rides' and  'Pony Rides' with the 'Pony Club'. 
Straightforward riding  is priced at 20 euros an hour per person, per session.  Groups are priced according to numbers.  Open at week-ends.

Also in Tarifa, a little way down the coast towards Gibraltar, horse-riding for tourists is a sport that is growing gradually. The Hotel Dos Mares,  Hotel Hurricane and El Cortijo Las Piñas all have their own stables where you can choose horses to ride around the local area and along the beach.

Prices are usually from 18 to 24 euros per hour or between 60 and 90 euros per day (this usually includes lunch). Some stables offer excursions for more than 1 day, which include  overnight stops in hotels or camping sites.

Andalucían horses are a noble and ancestral breed. They are obedient and easy to mount and they say that once you have ridden one, it will be difficult to find another breed that you like as much.
